Convert images, edit PDFs, remove backgrounds, run OCR, compress video, and more from one bilingual web app. Most tools process files directly in your browser; advanced Office and PDF tasks use secure temporary processing.

Hi Hunters! 👋
I'm Hau Tran, the creator of LocalMediaKit.
Like many of you, my daily work involves handling a ton of files: resizing client screenshots, compressing videos to send over Slack/Zalo, merging PDF contracts, and converting HEIC images from my iPhone.
But every time I used a "free online tool" to do this, I was concerned about data privacy. Why does an image resizer need to upload my file to their server? Who owns that data? Why are these websites cluttered with intrusive ads and trick download buttons?
That’s why I built LocalMediaKit. I wanted to build a toolkit that is:
1. Truly Secure: Running as much code as possible right in the browser using WebAssembly.
2. Transparent: If a tool requires a server (like C++ document parsing), we tell you upfront and delete the file immediately.
3. Visually Stunning: A beautiful, minimalist editorial design that makes file processing a pleasant daily ritual.
What makes us different?
Tool Chaining (Pro Pass): Pipe files between tools in one tab without download/upload cycles (e.g. Merge PDF -> Sign -> Encrypt).
Transparent Privacy: Over 80% of tools run on-device (WebAssembly). Server-dependent tasks are clearly marked and files deleted instantly.
Editorial Design: Visually stunning, typography-centered layout that is completely ad-free.
Zero Friction: No forced accounts, sign-ups, or credit cards required for core features.
I’d love to hear your feedback! Which tool is your favorite? What tools should we add next?
I'll be here all day responding to your comments. Thank you for the support! ❤️
