So, what the heck is this. Well, let me tell you.
A few months ago I was at my favorite coffee place. It was packed again. Like REALLY packed. With people from all over the world, actually.
I asked the owner about what was going on. Social media virality? Just constant Instagram reels? He laughed and said: “Honestly? A lot of people ask ChatGPT where to get good coffee around here, and we keep popping up.”
That got me thinking. I don’t use ChatGPT for that. At all.
I started paying more attention to how people around me use ChatGPT. Not just for work or coding, but to find places, services, recommendations. Stuff you (or I) would normally Google.
I never actually thought about it. How does this work!? Why does ChatGPT recommend specific companies or brands when people ask about their products? Is it just SEO?
When I looked into “LLM SEO”, most of what I found felt very fuzzy. A lot of “just ask ChatGPT” advice, or OpenAI wrappers that were effectively just saying “tell me how can I improve the SEO of this site”. Very little that you could actually apply to a real website.
So in my spare time, I started putting some structure around it. Looking at standards, guidelines and recommendations on the way an LLM would read websites (because these guidelines do exist), and then turning that into specific SEO changes, but focused for LLMs.
That’s how LLMao.app came together.
It’s a structured way to analyze a site and get practical improvements so it’s easier for LLMs to understand. I tried to make it as deterministic as possible, following an structured framework I built following the guidelines of OpenAI, Gemini, Anthropic, and other research done on the matter.
I’m launching it now and offering a 100% discount for the first 100 users because right now I mainly want feedback.
I would also appreciate greatly if you share this post or the link with anyone that may be interested in improving their brand visibility on tools like ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude!
Cool launch! Love the name - Definitely see the value and the methodology looks solid. Wondering if you're working on making the recommendations actionable? To create content or somehow fix the issues directly from the platform.
All the best!
@jorge_sanchez_sv hey Jorge!
Yes, we actually added the option of generating a personalised guide on how to implement the changes: "How do I actually do this?"
Hitting that button will generate a dedicated guide on how to action on the recommendation!
Hi Borja,
The idea of analyzing sites specifically for how AI assistants understand and present content is a meaningful evolution beyond traditional SEO, especially with models shaping how users discover information today. That said, the current page focuses on what you check, but doesn’t yet connect that clearly to what business gains (e.g., increased visibility, more leads, measurable engagement from AI-driven queries).
Framing the value as impact on growth metrics and showing even short results or examples would help visitors immediately grasp why LLM optimization matters.
I help early SaaS teams refine positioning and landing copy to turn niche technical propositions into outcome-driven messages that convert. If you decide to tighten how that value is communicated, I can help shape it into a narrative that resonates with founders and product teams.
Best,
Paul
Hi, quick follow-up.
Have you thought about leaning more into where LLMao fits in a real dev workflow, rather than just the concept? Clarifying that moment of use often boosts adoption.
Happy to give quick feedback if useful.
Best,
Paul
