What do you think? …

Manuel Carrillo Almoguera
Hi everyone! πŸ‘‹ I built Links to have a simple, fast and privacy-focused way to save the things I want to revisit later. With 2.0, the app gets a full redesign, a cleaner navigation experience, better organization tools, custom accent colors and a new Home that helps you get to your recent links instantly. I'd love to hear your thoughts, feedback or ideas for what's coming next β€” thanks for checking it out! πŸ™Œ
Tetiana

@manuel_carrillo_almogueraΒ Nice tool, since people use more mobiles than laptops, and still it's cool save something useful. thank you for making it free!

Manuel Carrillo Almoguera

@tetiana_hryshmanovskaΒ Thanks a lot Tetiana. Glad you find it useful on mobile. And yes, keeping it free to use was important to me

Zhiqi Shi

Really like this direction - simple and genuinely useful.

Manuel Carrillo Almoguera

Thank you @zhiqi_shi!, that means a lot. I am trying to keep Links as simple as possible while still being genuinely helpful in day to day use. If you ever feel something could make it even smoother I would love to hear it

Zhiqi Shi

@manuel_carrillo_almogueraΒ Well done. Wish you luck

Hey Manuel, congrats on 2.0! Quick question; what was it about the existing bookmarking/save for later apps that bugged you enough to build your own? Was it the privacy stuff, the clutter, or something else entirely that made you think I need to just make this myself?
Manuel Carrillo Almoguera

@vouchyΒ Thanks a lot Van. For me it was a mix of things. Most bookmarking apps felt heavier than what I needed and many pushed accounts or tracking, which I did not want for something as simple as saving links. I wanted something fast, minimal and private that stayed out of the way. At some point I realised that the only way to get that exact feeling was to build it myself

Cruise Chen

Love this one - seriously to tidy and clean my iphone!

Manuel Carrillo Almoguera

@cruise_chenΒ Thank you so much, really glad it helps. Organizing links is one of those things that feels small but makes the whole phone feel lighter. If you have ideas for features that would make your workflow even cleaner I would love to hear them

Alex Cloudstar

Always lose links in a pile of tabs. This feels like the fix. iCloud sync, no login, and a lock for private stuff β€” nice. Curious about import/dedup and how fast the share sheet is. Grabbing it on my phone to test this week.

Manuel Carrillo Almoguera

@alexcloudstarΒ Thanks a lot, really appreciate it. The share sheet is very fast because everything runs on device and goes straight into your local database. No server round trip, just save and close.

Import and dedup are coming very soon. I want to make sure imports feel smooth even for big libraries and that duplicates are detected reliably without slowing anything down.

Hope it fits your workflow. If you notice anything that could be smoother I am always listening

Chilarai M

Great. Do you also save the associated credentials, if any?
Also, can we sync across devices?

Manuel Carrillo Almoguera

@chilaraiΒ Thanks! You can save the URL together with its title, notes, tags, and metadata. Credentials are not stored because Links is privacy-first and does not handle usernames or passwords.

And yes, it syncs across devices through iCloud so everything stays private and available on all your Apple devices

Abdul Rehman

Big fan of the new accent colors! Small touch, but it makes the whole experience feel personal. Great work, team!

Manuel Carrillo Almoguera

@abod_rehmanΒ Thanks so much! Glad you noticed that. The accent colors were a small tweak but they really help make the app feel more personal. Still polishing a few things around customization, so feedback like this helps a lot
