Hi Andy, This looks great. Does Libro work on desktop computers? Many thanks.
Andy
@eugenia_russell Unfortunately not yet... Will consider working on a desktop version if there's anough interest for it :)

@flairflights Thank you, Andy. I hope it happens as it will be of great use to the community. Older people and people who rely on libraries for their reading often do not possess smartphones. Have a great day!

When you say "neighbours" do you mean friends or followers in the account? or do you literally mean people staying near you. Also, what's the advantage of using this over Goodreads? Congrats on the launch! :)
Andy
@kenmoo Thanks! When I say "neighbours" I actually mean people living around you. The app is currently only using location to determine who's close to you and what books are available in your area. I have thought about adding a "social" aspect to it where you can then create your network of people to exchange books with but thought that might be a step to far for an MVP. The main difference with Goodreads is that you can actually use the app as a way to exchange books - it'll let you find books close to you, organise an exchange via the Chat functionality and then remind people to return books when they're about to be due. Thanks again! Andy

Hi Andy. I am working on a project for promoting reading on low income neighborhoods. Would it be possible to use Libro for this?
Andy
@rreyes1979 Libro would allow you to create a library of books and keep track of who is borrowing what. If you own all the books, for example, you could use Libro to ask people in your area to borrow books from you and it could help you keep track of who is reading what. This, however, sounds like an amazing idea and I would love to chat more about it and maybe collaborate on a version of Libro that could really help you with your project. Where are you based off? Cheers, Andy

make friends by exchanging books
Andy
I created Libro to discover new books around the area and share my growing library of books with other readers in our neighbourhood. I am super excited to share the app with everyone, it's still in early stages but it's in a good state and would love to get feedback and improve it over the next few months! Hope you have a chance to try out Libro and share some of your thoughts.
