I tried Habitica and it felt like a to-do list wearing a costume, so I built the opposite. In Levelite, the game comes first: real JRPG combat, a 100-floor tower to climb, guilds, a full seasonal story. The catch is you can only progress by doing your actual habits and tasks. Getting hooked on the game means getting hooked on being productive. Built solo over the last year and a half, and it's finally taking off. Try it with an open mind.

Just before I start, I want to share my Levelite username here: "one (without the quotation marks, of course).
And without further ado, let's start this.

Levelite is a fantastic app because it takes the Habitica-like genre and revolutionizes it, bringing features that I've never seen before, or have barely seen in other apps. It mixes these features together in a way that creates an incredible app that can genuinely change the way you see this type of app.

What needs improvement

The things that could be improved here are honestly just the quality of the AI in some really minor aspects, and the price accessibility regarding the in-game currency, Gems, which are mostly (or perhaps only) used to purchase cosmetic items or to speed up certain things.

vs Alternatives

Levelite is preferable to alternative solutions because it combines unique features that make it stand out when compared to other apps. It brings mechanics to the table that, when combined, create a very complete and satisfying product.

What's great

This is the exact type of gamification app I’ve been looking for for a long time. I’ve tried several other apps aimed at gamifying tasks, but this was the only one that managed to keep me hooked and motivated to actually complete them, because they genuinely make a difference to your character.

The guild and tower task mechanics provide an extra incentive to get things done, as they offer great rewards for players. On top of that, the trading/market mechanic is what attracts me the most, which is why I aimed to build one of the most appealing shops in the app. And how do you achieve that? By completing real-life tasks, taking part in battles within the app, doing quests, and more.

For all these reasons, this app is incredible—and also because the developer is always open to feedback and constantly improving it.

Although improvements are always possible, right now I can't think of anything to make the app better.

vs Alternatives

Other alternatives lack a community system; everything feels very lonely, and for people looking for incentives to complete tasks, a community adds immense value to the process. Another factor that kept me using the app is the developer's willingness to listen to and implement user suggestions—something I haven't found in other apps.

What's great

Hello, my name in app is Endeavor and, for me, Levelite was the motivation I needed to start walking again and to find a new direction in life—all in a fun way. Without a doubt, the app's greatest strength is its intuitive interface; it is so easy to understand that even a child could use it. The developer puts real care into the work, always listens to the community, treats everyone well, and remains open to new ideas. What I like most about the app is definitely the items—the variety is immense, not to mention the countless character builds you can create. In my opinion, the app deserves far more recognition than it currently gets, and Izumi is someone who truly deserves that level of acclaim.

What needs improvement

More dungeons, so we have more challenges and can progress with the story of Levelon.

vs Alternatives

The interface stands out in particular; while other apps clutter the screen with too much information, Levelite manages to organize everything effectively and separate the various options—without leaving you lost or unsure of what to do. The app manages to be both organized and clean.

Its mechanics, the way you choose your own routine, and even the community that's always willing to help are some of the most positive aspects you can find, and something unparalleled. It was thanks to this game that I overcame a large part of my problems and started to become a more responsible person, and in a way, I stopped giving in to worldly vices and instead addicted my body to something that makes me feel good, good habits that reward me for them. I would love it if they added portal spells as their own spellbook, like attack portals, defense portals, dodge portals, something just focused on portals (I love portals).

Hey! I really like Levelite because it feels easy and enjoyable to use. The platform is simple to navigate without feeling overly basic, and I love how much freedom it gives me to customise both my tasks and my character.

There’s a good balance between having plenty of features while still keeping everything like completing tasks straightforward.

For me, Levelite stands out because of the gaming mechanic. I find myself coming back to it to level up my character and get my tasks done because of it. It’s become something I genuinely enjoy using, and I’d definitely recommend it to anyone who finds getting tasks done hard but enjoys gaming.

I’m a Levelite user with the username Pólvora, and I’ve always loved the ability to add images and fully customize each task, including the design and colors you want. It’s a really great feature.

This level of customization makes me much more motivated to complete my tasks. The gamified artwork is especially appealing to people who grew up playing a lot of games or who enjoy retro 8-bit and medieval aesthetics.

What I like the most is being able to actually fight battles and take part in combat within the game, while progressing through my journey. It makes completing everyday tasks feel much more like playing a game, which makes Levelite really fun to use.

What needs improvement

There's always a way to improve something, but the app is just awesome in the way it's there right now, still if there's one i would like to, a thing would be great when we level up and get to increase the limit of creating task, btw 8 is really good, but that would be better ofcourse...

Hello, I am a Levelite user with the username lucassantosrocha.

I just wanted to say that I loved this app. I've always really enjoyed games and RPGs, and for a long time I've been looking for an app that encourages me to stay focused on my duties and goals.

The only one that managed to hook me like this was Levelite. At the same time that I complete my tasks, I have fun leveling up, exploring in-game dungeons, and doing quests. This app was exactly everything I was looking for, and thanks to it, I feel like I'm evolving not only in the game, but in my whole life too.

What's great

This app is simply fantastic. I have been using it since the beginning of the beta phase, and it has only gotten better since then, constantly introducing new mechanics and content. Most importantly, however, I was able to improve my quality of life and build healthier habits because of it. It is a phenomenal tool, as I can organize my daily routine while still having fun and socializing through the app.
