update: am back into using this app - it's very cool and continues to get better. New themes... super fast to add a handwritten signature via the iPhone - I love it!

Inspired by yesterday's PSTMARK I've had lettrs on my phone for 6 months or so. Communicated with the very responsive founder Drew Bartkiewicz personally when sorting out a few bugs.
Things I like...
App forces you to write for a minimum of 1 minute (you can set this for longer) before clicking 'send' (feels like eternity the first time)
Fun to type up a letter on the web then finish it off on the iPhone with a handwritten signature.
Like PSTMARK it has a penpal option.
Often lettrs are 'open' or they may be personal either in soft copy or hard but either way on nice stationery.
I stood in a queue at the post office last friday for an absurdly long time waiting to sign up for a post box. For some reason I found the experience quite calming. I find it deliciously old school buying stamps too. Long reign the Post Office. :-)
