A group of travel junkies have pooled resources and are preparing to purchase a private island to develop for ecotourism. It's a dream I think many people have had but these guys are actually making it happen allowing people to purchase a share of the island

@david_mash1 We want to generate revenue as quickly as possible, so in the first instance we may put something really simple together, like glamping. Our medium term plan will be to put more permanent lodging in place with facilities. We are looking at a number of options, and it will also depend on our final location and environment we have to build in. We have a broad range of experience in our team, with people experienced in build projects in all sorts of places. We are looking into prefabricated and non-prefabricated options and have a business case for each of the short list locations.

@fancsiki We really want to do our bit to slow global warming and of course this is a concern. With a lot of our islands the land actually comes with set back so we can dredge and raise the size and level of the island. We will also protect against erosion, indeed some of the islands we are looking at already have some erosion protection.

@sean_holbert1 We have a written constitution which was approved by a vote. This established the procedure for drafting, debating and establishing the "laws" of our land in line with our ethos.

@hughinhk We all remember timeshares! There will be an element of "sharing time" on the island should that be an issue, but the idea is to own and run an ideal and generate revenue from a number of sources.
