Hi Product Hunt — I built KStarTrail because a restaurant seen in a video is surprisingly hard to find again with the exact branch and original source intact. The product starts with a person, show, or YouTube theme, then lets you explore the connected places on a map. Each place includes the reason it appears, the public source, and a check date. I deliberately avoid turning an appearance into a rating, endorsement, or best-restaurant claim. The latest expansion adds 666 unique places in Japan. Examples include 181 places from Space Tamnik, 38 from Michin Matjip, 24 from Bimirya, and smaller collections connected to Korean creators and public figures. Theme counts overlap; 666 is the deduplicated total. KStarTrail is free, requires no account, carries no paid placement, and is available in six languages. For Japan, where I cannot use the Korean public permit dataset, I only claim that venue status was checked against local official map sources — not that opening hours or reservations are guaranteed. I would especially value feedback on two things: whether the theme-to-map flow is easy to understand, and whether the source/endorsement boundary is clear enough in the interface.

Each place currently shows why it is included, the public source, and a check date. I deliberately avoid ratings or recommended-by language because an appearance is not necessarily a current endorsement.
