Hi, I'm Sami, a freelance developer from Austria. 👋🏻 I maintain a lot of client projects, mostly Craft CMS sites for agencies. Most coding agents only read and write code. They never run it, so they are guessing whether their changes work, and I end up doing the verification anyway. Knecht is my answer to that. You connect your GitHub repos and define workflows, started by a Jira ticket, GitHub issue, PR, @mention or by hand. When a workflow runs, Knecht boots the project into an isolated Docker sandbox, generated with DDEV. Inside, the agent can reproduce the bug, run the migrations, open the page and read the actual error. Every task can end as a pull request with a live preview, so you review a running site, not just a diff. Two examples from the beta: A client reports a broken contact form in a Jira ticket. The agent reproduces it in the browser, finds the cause in a Twig template, fixes it and opens a PR with a preview link. The project manager checks the preview and merges. A Craft CMS security release drops. One workflow runs across every project, updates the dependency, runs the migrations, checks admin and frontend, and opens a PR per project. 40 projects, 40 PRs, 40 previews. Knecht is self-hostable, runs 24/7 and is in beta. It works best with DDEV projects but does not require an existing DDEV setup. I am looking for beta testers who maintain many projects.
