KeyShift AI brings together the capabilities of an AI rewriter and a voice-to-text application in a seamless desktop workflow. I searched for these exact features for weeks, and I’m really glad I finally found them here.
What needs improvement
I want a “record voice” feature that automatically uses local models like on-device Whisper or Parakeet, so the product keeps getting better without sacrificing privacy or speed. Add more cloud choices, like Soniox, Groq, and Deepgram, so people can switch providers easily and still get fast, high-quality transcription. With more AI cloud providers coming up, I think moving between them should feel clearer and easier, guided by obvious on-screen cues, not just a dropdown menu.

Product looks great! How is it possible that you sell a lifetime product with AI usage? Do users fill out their own key?
@maximdekock for the lifetime plan, users bring their own API key (OpenAI, Anthropic or Gemini) and the AI runs directly from their device, no usage limits. for the free and pro plans the credits system handles it on our side, no key needed

I built KeyShift because I was tired of the copy-paste-ChatGPT loop. I'm not a native English speaker and I was doing it like 30 times a day. Every email, every Slack message. It was driving me crazy.
So I made a thing. Select text, press a shortcut, AI fixes it right there. No tabs, no pasting back and forth.
