I built Kapshot because I kept running into the same problem: recording a product demo was easy, but making the recording actually look good took way longer than it should.
You record a feature, then you have to go back and add zooms, clean up cursor movement, adjust framing, and cut everything together just to make a simple demo feel polished.
Kapshot takes a different approach.
You just record your screen normally. While you interact with your product, Kapshot understands where you're clicking and turns those interactions into smooth, focused screen movements automatically.
It's built for SaaS founders, developers, and creators who want to show their products without becoming video editors first.
This is still early, and I'm building Kapshot around the workflows that actually matter to people making product videos.

Congrats on getting Kapshot out, Aryan. Can I export a vertical version of the same recording for Shorts and Reels, or is it one format for now?

@protsenkoalexandra Thanks Alexandra! Right now it’s one format, but vertical exports are definitely on my list. Thanks for suggesting it, would be really useful for Shorts/Reels.
Going to have to give this ago, have found zoom editing to be very time consuming when trying to record tutorials

the auto smooth zoom during recording rather than as a post-edit step is the actual product here, most tools in this space (Screen Studio included) still make you record flat then go add zooms after. doing it live means you can't fix a bad zoom decision after the fact though - what happens if the auto-zoom follows the wrong window because two things moved on screen at once, is there a way to nudge it mid-recording or only in post

@galdayan The zoom movements only follow the cursor clicks as of now, so it won't get confused between two windows or anything. Though you can add edit zooms post recording in editor. Really appreciate the feedback!
