Kamai is a business operating system for small-scale bakery businesses in India — replacing WhatsApp, Instagram, notebooks, and payment apps with one workflow. Track orders and delivery dates, manage advance payments with reminders, generate branded receipts, and see real profit — not guesswork. Plus a shareable digital menu customers can order from. We're also building a wholesale side, so bakeries can source ingredients through Kamai too. Built solo, bootstrapped, from Kolkata.

I'm Pritam, building Kamai solo out of Kolkata.
This started because my sister runs a home bakery. I watched her juggle orders on WhatsApp, menus on Instagram, payments across UPI apps, and advances tracked in a notebook — and still lose track of who owed what, or forget to follow up on a pending payment. Multiply that across thousands of small bakery businesses in India, and it's a lot of manual chaos for people who are already stretched thin running a business alone.
So I built Kamai — a business operating system for small-scale bakery businesses. One place to track orders, delivery dates, advance payments (with automatic reminders), branded receipts, real profit and expenses, and a shareable digital menu.
The product has evolved a lot from the first version — most of it shaped by watching my sister actually use it and hit friction points I hadn't anticipated. That's still how I build: real usage over assumptions.
Next up, I'm building a wholesale side so bakery businesses can source ingredients directly through the same platform — closing the loop between running the business and supplying it.
