Jurnl-It is a free trading journal that helps traders connect their process with their results. Define your trading rules, record which ones you followed on each trade, and see how execution quality relates to performance. Its analytics help uncover patterns in winning/losing streaks, trade timing, recovery and recurring mistakes. By separating strategy performance from execution mistakes, Jurnl-It helps traders make decisions based on real hard evidence, not just a few trades.
I built Jurnl-It for myself because I couldn’t find a trading journal that connected my process to my results. Most journals gave me plenty of metrics, but they didn’t help me understand which decisions and habits were actually improving my trading.
Jurnl-It focuses on insights you can act on. You can define your process rules, connect them to individual trades, see whether you followed your plan, and find patterns related to timing, trading sequences, recovery, and rule breaks.
I also wanted to move beyond simply logging wins and losses. A good trade can lose money, and a bad trade can make money, so the process behind the result matters. The aim is to help traders recognize recurring mistakes, avoid drawing conclusions from only a few trades, and build a more consistent and repeatable process.
I’ve kept the optional subscription affordable because useful trading analytics should be accessible to every trader.
