Are the larger bags able to be spun 360 degrees? Currently have an issue with the maneuverability of other two wheeler brands. Not ideal for tighter spaces and small plane aisles
@simon_harland hey Simon, we only have one carry-on size and it's perfect for that kind of tight-space action in small planes. The wheels are a 360 double wheel system, with spinner wheels. This means they move smoothly, and spin 360 degrees perfectly. We designed these wheels ourselves, naming them SiletMove. While based on similar designs in industry we changed a few things that made them a little bit stronger and a lot more quieter. These things just dance when you're at the airport!
Congrats on the launch! Just wanted to provide some communication/marketing feedback that I hope helps. After viewing your site, I don't understand why your product is better. Yes, it has a battery. But as someone who travels with a phone and laptop and backpack (in addition to my carry on roller), there's already a charger in my backpack if I need it (and I'm guessing I'm not alone here).
It's well designed. Meh? It has higher quality materials. Okay? It's still $200 and I can go buy another luggage for similar price elsewhere. It really doesn't have a different way for me to pack my clothes. It has the same layout as every other piece of carry on luggage - a box with wheels to put my stuff in.
My recommendation would be to stress the lifetime guarantee and service that really sets you apart. Or you as founders and how buying from you online supports an independent vs buying from some international conglomerate.
Or the design should be more opinionated on how I should pack? That's a v2 brainstorming session, so disregard for now. I just think you could stress the parts that make you awesome much more clearly, especially when it comes to the luggage industry, which generally has had the same design of core products for decades.
Best of luck!!
@miles_matthias thanks for this feedback Miles! Appreciate the fresh eyes on what we're doing. It's still early days in the launch, and this kind of insight is invaluable. There is a lot of engineering-based benefits to this case which we are trying not to overhype. We agree that in essence the service elements should come through more. We'll be doing a review on all our comms going out, and I'll keep you posted. Thanks again!
Thanks for the love @mahringer_a - you've been one of the first lucky ones 😸

Product looks great and promising. Exciting thing for me is the fact that in heels or not I can adjust the height of the handle to suit me. Can't tell you how good this is. I've pre-ordered, can't wait to start flying with it.
Pros:
Looks good, charges my laptop on the move, handle that stops at whatever height I want! (so good depending on my shoe choice of the day)
Thanks Shamini. The multistop handle was definitely one area we designed to be as comfortable as possible. We'd love for you to continue to give us feedback once your case arrives!

Hi,
I made an honest and valid comment on your company Instagram profile, pointing out how this brand has taken let’s say, ‘inspiration’ from the hugely successfully and innovative Away luggage range, right down to the charger, product packages, lifetime warranty and marketing. I actually didn’t say much, just tagged Away with an emoji but it was enough for your founders/social media minders to decide to block me (lol) which I find hugely petty and speaks to a sore spot perhaps you’d rather bury.
It’s not a good look if you’re not willing for the public to draw these obvious comparisons and ask questions. A question for you is, what is it about July that makes it unique to the original Away brand and product offering?

Super excited to have gotten on the pre-order list to make July part of my travel necessities. I am an advocate for thoughtfully designed and well made items and this piece is definitely designed with features to last.
Good job on the design process! To top that, hello lifetime warranty making it a tough decision when deciding on the colour as this would be the last case you would ever need to buy. Given the price point for the return value though, two or three of these would not be a crowd.
July ticks all the boxes of features for the perfect carry on - portable batteries, lightweight durable case, great wheels and handles to suit the petites (we exist too). Thanks to the customer service team for answering all my queries I had before placing my order.
The only cons to July is that we need to see more accessories and further additions to the July range. It would suck to have to shop elsewhere to complete the collection. Can't wait to see what else is brewing. We want more!
Lastly, YAY to it being Melbourne, Australia-designed (only cause I love supporting my local community).
@kim_low hey Kim, thanks for the love and welcome to the Founders Club too! Great to have you in the July family. If there's anything else we can do for you please let us know :)
