A menu bar companion that watches your Mac habits — lid opens, late nights, idle time, alt-tabbing — and roasts you with voice lines from The Donald. Don't like it? Physically slap your MacBook. The accelerometer detects it. KO at 32 hits and the character runs across your desktop screaming. Built in 4 days by a web dev with zero Swift knowledge. 100% AI-coded with Claude Code. $5 lifetime.

Hey PH! 👋
I saw SlapMac go viral last week and thought: "What if the MacBook slapped back?
The catch? I'm a web dev. Never touched Swift in my life. So I used Claude Code to build the entire thing — app, website, payment system — in 4 days.
Every line of code is AI-generated. I just made the product decisions
Here's what happened in those 4 days
- Day 1: Core architecture — menu bar app, behavior detection engine, roast system
- Day 2: Slap physics, voice lines, sprite animations, accelerometer integratio
- Day 3: Desktop Runner (the character literally runs across your screen), KO system, sound effects
- Day 4: Landing page, Polar.sh licensing, polish & ship
I made every product decision. I designed the character pack system. I chose the detection algorithms. I decided the slap should have 9 damage levels and that KO should trigger a desktop runner.
But the code? That was AI. All of it. ~15,000 lines of Swift I couldn't have written myself.
This isn't "AI-assisted." This is AI-built. And I think that's worth talking about honestly.
I know it probably has bugs I haven't found yet. But hey, it works — on my machine at least :D
If a web developer with zero native experience can ship a polished macOS app in 4 days — what's stopping you from building that weird idea you've been sitting on.
Your MacBook already judges you. Now it says it out loud
