Welcome PH'ers 🤟 I'm really excited about this launch! We're injecting a product into a category which has become sloppy to say the least, and it's getting worse. We're going to thoroughly shake things up! Cast back to 2022 while we currently fight 2023, two years that have been absolute horror shows for job losses. Mass tech redundancies took place in 2022, and throughout 2023 the same trends have spread into other industries. I was one of the hundreds of thousands, if not millions, that received the bad news. It was a diabolical time for everyone. Things didn't get any better. In fact, it felt like I'd fallen off a fucking cliff. I was thrown headfirst into a job-hunting stampede. But, it was at this point I noticed a continuous brick walls of bad applicant user experience. I hadn't heard back from roughly 60% of my total applied roles, even to this day! And if I did, it was either weeks, or months. Due given, there were a small slice of about 4% which were fantastic 🙌 thank you! Unfortunately, this whole experience isn't uncommon 🤯 it's actually more common that we think. 🚀 This is where JoyApplicant and our mission plays a part! We prioritise the applicants experience while job seekers apply for a new job or the next step in their career. Creating an enjoyable experience for the applicant, from start to finish. 🫶 But, how are you going to do that? We know exactly what it's like to be make redundant, to lose your bread and butter. That feeling of gasping for a breath, while trying to stand out within an overcrowded stampede. That part isn't easy! But what is easy, will be ensuring an applicant has the best possible experience while applying for their new role. It's like holding open a door for someone who's walking behind you– fairly easy, right? We think so, which is why JoyApplicant will ensure the applicant is... ✅ Always kept in the loop with updates. ✅ Never experience radio silence. ✅ Not applying for phantom or fake posts. ✅ Bi-direction feedback/review (Applicant <=> Company). ✅ Has high quality & consistent postings available. ✅ Simple and informative account overviews. ✅ User experience at the forefront of everything. I'm here to answer any questions and listen to your feedback. Please also share your input and any past or current experiences you've had with job seeking. These could help steer the future of JoyApplicant, and other fellow job seekers. Thank you for checking out JoyApplicant!

Hey Chris, love that your helping out the people in job hunting. Here are some of my problems I’ve come across in my current job search which I’m hoping someone will try to resolve for me one day! - salary expectations. So many jobs don’t list this information still and you spend so much time applying and writing cover letters etc only to find out they won’t pay you what you’re expecting. - finding work based on your eligibility. I’m at a stage in my life that I would love to relocate if given the opportunity. New Zealand is a lucky country where you get residency in Australia by being a NZ citizen. Instead of looking for jobs based solely on my country I’d like to be able to look at jobs based on my eligibility. There are far more opportunities overseas in the tech space for me. - ensuring that job postings are verified as still active by a member of the company. I’ve applied to too many out of date ads that haven’t been taken down. I think it should automatically be taken down if no response to a verification after a certain time frame. Eg 2 weeks. But you’ve already looked to fix the biggest problem I’ve had - being ghosted even by people that have already started a conversation with me. Even by others that are supposedly trying to fix this problem for jobseekers. It’s amazing how many companies can easily burn a bridge with people forgetting that these people may one day be a potential customer of theirs.

Thanks for your kind words @paige_tibbits1 🙌 I can defiantly relate to the points you've raised, and I know many other will too. With JoyApplicant, we aim to build and steer the platform with the applicants experience at the helm. Paining a picture to companies that they must be treating every single applicant in the same manor as their companies Customer Care team would do with complaints– actively responsive and keeping the customer updated at all times about what is actually going on. This also applies to the initial job detail and information provided during the applicants search. No applicant should be left wondering or guessing about the this 'n' that detail. It may take time Paige, but we'll definitely get there 😁
