What do you think? …

Alex Adelman
Very cool! Are you all using Try.com or did you build it in-house?
jason rosser
@alexadelman | Thanks! We built this in-house. It was a huge effort to re-construct our platform to only bill the customer after the tryout period is over.
Matt Bruno
Great explaining video, simple and effective.
jason rosser
@mattrbruno | Thanks Matt. It was a blast to collaborate internally and externally to get feedback as we were creating the video. We used the feedback to iterate with the goal of making the message more clear and effective.

This is how all clothes shopping (online) should work.
Erik Torenberg
Congrats team! Can you talk about what inspired this?
Ryan McIntyre
@eriktorenberg Hey Erik, long story short-ish..a few months ago, we took a step back from the day to day and realized that shopping online for clothes sucks. It's easy to find great stuff, sure, but why should you pay for something before you try it on? Why should you cover the cost of shipping for something you’re not sure about, or wait two weeks for a refund to be processed? It doesn’t make sense, it’s just something we got used to when shopping online. We don't like shopping that way, and we don't want that to be our customers’ experience at JackThreads. TryOuts is designed to remove any and all barriers to entry. We are encouraging guys to try new things and making it easier to find some new favorites. Ultimately, we believe if a guy touches and feels the product we have to offer, he will come back time and again. Finally, from a business perspective, we didn’t want to get into the endless discount death spiral crushing the retail industry right now, so we decided upon a different path. A path where the experience of shopping JackThreads supplants the need for discount. It’s a big bet, but we are having a ton of fun doing it.
Abe Storey
Long time lover of jack threads. Looking forward to "trying" this out
jason rosser
@abe_storey Ay, I see what you did there. ;) Thanks for being a long time fan! Can't wait to hear what you think.
Garett Press
Very awesome. Makes me wants to try one of everything. Maybe I'll finally catch up to the joggers trend.
jason rosser
@garettpress I kinda' want to dare you to try-on one of everything.
Joshua Dance
What happens to the clothes that they don't like? Re-used or scrapped?
jason rosser
@joshdance @chang2301 Throughout the experience we let the customer know that the purpose of TryOuts is to try on the clothes and see them with the rest of your wardrobe before paying (vs wearing them for a week). Then, we QC items that are sent back and refold them to our standard, so you can be confident that you're getting fresh merchandise.
David Chang
@jasonrosser Thanks for your reply. I think your customers will love it!
