Create & share your online advocate that knows and chats exactly like you by 1. Answering questions prompted by the chatbot to get a sense of who you are 2. Sharing your chatbot's link with friends & family
Hi product hunt community! I'm Dongho, maker of IsItYou.
I came up with this idea for personalized chatbot advocate while developing my previous-and-ongoing product, Clemory (Online brain that remembers for you).
When I fed my chatbot with enough data of my personal life, it began to sound like me, which gave me a scary and an exciting feeling.
So I thought "How would it feel like to have a chatbot that knows a lot about me and sounds exactly like me? That could speak with others?". So, without specifying any sophisticated use-cases, my teammates and I developed this product, with the name of 'Is It You?'.
Process is super simple:
First, create your advocate by answering questions prompted by your chatbot: process is really fun as the chatbot responds to what you say .
Second, test your chatbot by asking questions about yourself.
Finally, share the link of your chatbot with others and receive the contents of the chat on your email. Others can chat with your chatbot advocate in both incognito and public mode (in incognito, your email will be like "An anonymous user's Question").
If you found the concept interesting, have a try as everything is free for now.
Also, give us feedbacks by comments or by emailing us at lighter.links.co@gmail.com.
Happy new year!
Congratulations on your launch. Sounds exciting. One concern though, why would I want someone to chat with my chatbot if I can respond to them myself? Who’s your target
@tamuda Thank you Tamuda! We mainly wanted to see how people would use this product. One use case is someone who's not that friendly enough to contact another person but want to know the person.

The tool seems intriguing and enjoyable. How much data do I need to provide for my advocate by answering the questions prompted? Will IIU respond within the scope of the advocate or does it have the ability to answer beyond the predefined parameters based on my advocate? Is it possible to create multiple advocates for the same account and assign and switch them for the IIU to answer accordingly? If this feature is not available yet, I recommend that you implement it. It would be enjoyable to have different answering styles at different times.
@trinhdhuynh Thank you for your love and questions! I hope the answers below satisfies your question.
- Approximately 15 minutes of conversation with your chatbot is good to get you started. The more time you spend with your chatbot, the more it will sound like you and know about you!
- All chatbots have the ability to answer beyond the predefined parameters based on the advocate. We send users an automated email with the question received and how the chatbot responded.
- Currently you can make one advocate per account. However, we have designed IIU so that multiple advocates and thus personas can be made by one person - this will be unboarded soon!

@ksh030208 Thank you so much for your information. It’s great to know that IIU has the ability to answer beyond the predefined parameters based on the advocate. It is also happy to know you already have to plan to support multiple advocates. Thank you again and congratulations to IIU and the team.
Congrats! I remember this cool idea from one of the Silicon Valley episodes. I wonder to know your target audience and main use cases.
Now, I'm super curious about your Clemory project! Where can I learn more?
@reza_madad Wow really? That's a surprise. I haven't specifically decided the main use cases and target audiences yet, but just wanted to create a chatbot that could speak for you. I wanted to see what people would do with this idea and grow on top of that.
Oh, about Clemory, it's in my past launches. You can also check it out at clemory.io

Congrats on your dispatch. Sounds energizing. One concern in spite of the fact that, why would I need somebody to chat with my chatbot in the event that I can react to them myself? Who’s your target
@heber_madkin We first mainly wanted to see how people would utilize this concept. One use case would be busy influencers and people who want someone else to reply.
Congrats on your launch! Curious - can you train Is It You further by inputting sample data (i.e. text conversations you've had with friends, emails, etc)?
