I've always been a huge fan of those classic RPGs and the pixel art aesthetic 🎮✨ And, since I injured myself playing football last weekend and was pretty much confined to my desk, staring at the computer screen, I thought, why not create a little game that captures that old-school magic but with a twist? What if I could integrate ChatGPT into a RPG game? Being able to chat with every NPC, each with their own unique backstory! 🤖💬 That's where the idea for this weekend project came about. The end result is IndieHackers RPG: "Tale of the Forgotten Key". It's my love letter to those epic 8-bit adventures of the past, but I've spiced it up with some AI-driven conversations. Also, the game is packed with nods to the indie hacking community and the startup scene. 👩‍💻🚀 Can't wait for you to check it out, and I'd love to hear your thoughts! @jasonleowsg, that was the idea! But it was also to mix it with how NPC interactions will be in the future on games. There are many impressive demos on YouTube, but I think it's interesting to see the contrast between old 8-bit games and AI.

Honestly, it's way more fun than I expected. Fernando blows it out of the water once again with some of the best-designed products from any indie hacker anywhere. Currently working on my speedrun attempt. Who can beat 5'50"?

I like the GameBoy Style a lot, remember playing Super Mario and Tetris and my Stepfather kept boring my GameBoy so he could join the game too. I have not walked very far in the game so far, but keep it open to check it out a little more, what I am not sure about is, if the game telling me now I should get a job or better go and create something on my own, and where is this cooperation everybody in the Game is talking about? SMILE So far it looks to me like a gamified track, can´t wait where the journey will go...
