Hey Product Hunt 👋 I’m Rohit, the maker of Incognear. The idea came from a simple feeling: whenever I move to a new place college, internship, travel the first few weeks feel oddly lonely. You’re surrounded by people, but you don’t really know anyone around you. At the same time, traditional social media connects us with people across the world, but rarely with the people physically near us. So I started building Incognear a hyperlocal, pseudo-anonymous social app where you can see and share thoughts with people around you right now. A few things that make it different: • Hyperlocal: connect with people in your immediate surroundings • Ephemeral: posts disappear after a set duration • Pseudo-anonymous: sign in and get a random username The goal is simple: create a social layer for the real world.
