InTheNextHour is an accountability tool designed to help you achieve your goals through drastic means. With this tool, you can hold yourself accountable for the tasks you need to complete by setting strict deadlines and consequences for not meeting them.
I found it to be a great tool for frequent procrastinators like myself! I've used it to help pack my bags and clean my living space. I can see myself using something like this as I return to school to complete my assignments. Someone like me can slowly add this to my daily life. Losing money is a great motivator to get things done.
While procrastinating writing an essay for college I thought to myself "If only I could lose money for not doing what Im supposed to do, then I would do it." Then I procrastinated some more to build out InTheNextHourIwill! Would love to hear your feedback and if helps keep you accountable :)
I like this idea! I was just thinking yesterday about how many habit trackers and tools in general have no real accountability for confirming if you have completed a thing or not. Does this actually work to check progress in files? And if so, what kind of files can you upload for it to check? I don't always have files associated with my tasks, for instance i might be writing in Notion or my CMS, so it might be an interesting feature to add something that monitors the current webpage for progress.
@britt_joiner Thanks Brittany! Yes I am manually reviewing pledge proof (start & finish) . It supports screenshots or actual files ! I plan on making the proof process clearer . Web monitoring is an interesting idea but don't want to invade users privacy, so I will think about that.

Love the concept! It’s so important to keep yourself accountable specially when you’re working on your own. Congrats on the launch!

While InTheNextHour offers a unique method of fostering accountability, its strict deadlines and harsh consequences may not suit everyone's working style and could potentially cause unnecessary stress. It could benefit from incorporating gentler and more motivational methods for those who respond better to positive reinforcement.
