Love the hover-to-save workflow, that's exactly the kind of frictionless capture tool I've been wanting. One thing I'd love to see is the ability to auto-tag saved images with the page URL or domain so I can trace back inspiration to its source later. Would make organizing big boards way easier when going back through hundreds of saved references.
@uurk6oe Thanks — and good news: this shipped in v1.1.0.
Every saved image now shows a clickable domain badge on its card that reopens
the exact page it came from, you can filter a collection by typing a domain
into the search box, and every ZIP export includes a sources.csv listing the
filename, title, folder, domain, source URL and save date. That last one was
aimed squarely at your "hundreds of saved references" case — the archive stays
traceable even after the files leave the extension.
One nice accident: the extension has been recording the source page since v1.0.0,
it just never showed it to you. So your existing saves already have their sources
attached — nothing you captured before this update is lost.
Really appreciate the specific suggestion. If the CSV is missing a column that
would help your workflow, say the word.
v1.1.0 is out, and one of the three new features came straight from feedback here.
→ Right-click menu — Image Collector ▸ Download original image, or Save to
collection ▸ pick a folder. Works on product grids where a transparent link
covers the image.
→ Hover icons on/off switch — hide the on-page buttons when you want a clean
view. Takes effect instantly in every open tab, and right-click keeps working,
so you lose nothing by turning them off.
→ Source tracking — clickable domain badge on every card, search by domain, and
a sources.csv in every ZIP export.
