Hi Product Hunt! I’m Matthew, the founder of ideaScribe.
Over the past few years, I’ve written four novel-length projects. Every time, I ran into the same problems:
* Cluttered docs and confusing file names
* Waiting weeks for beta readers
* Losing track of my own edits
So I built ideaScribe — a platform that keeps writers in the driver’s seat.
What makes it different?
* Organize chapters with drag-and-drop simplicity
* Get instant feedback from AI “editors” trained for different styles
* Collaborate easily without endless email threads or comment chaos
Unlike other tools, ideaScribe doesn’t try to write for you. It’s built for authors who value their own voice, but want structured support along the way.
I’d love your feedback — what would make this most valuable for you as a writer, editor, or reader?
Thanks for checking us out.
— Matthew

I really appreciate that it emphasizes structure and feedback over just generating content. That’s the kind of AI tool I can genuinely trust, to be honest.

@brent_kom3344 Thanks Brent! I definitely wanted to focus on AI as a tool rather than a first-draft writer.

Really cool concept, Matthew! I’m curious — can the AI editors be customized for different tones or genres? Like, how about sci-fi versus romance?

@theo_west1 Thanks, Theo! We have a bank of 15 different personas that specialize in different genres and have different tones to them, so you're sure to find one that you can work well with. (And if not, I'm always open to suggestions!)

I just tried it out, and the interface is super sleek. Just a small suggestion: maybe consider adding a dark mode for those long writing sessions? 👀

@lily_hart1 oooh, that's a good suggestion. I'll add it to the roadmap!

It genuinely feels like it was created by a real writer (and you can tell). Dragging and dropping chapters? Yes, please!

@sophie_bennett1 Thank you so much for your feedback! That's one of my favorite features!

As someone who’s juggling three half-finished drafts right now… this really resonates with me, lol. Cluttered documents and lost edits are so relatable.

@aria_bennett For sure. I guess ideaScribe is my equivalent of writing what I know!
