Tried it with Claude Code, worked like magic. Saying “add food icons” and watching it instantly pull in beautiful assets is lowkey addictive.
This is great and I've experienced the problem you just solved for. I'm non-technical and use Replit. Is that something I can use Icon8 MCP Server? Nice launch.

@schwalld Thank you. I have checked Replit and I still don't get it. They have some MCP tutorials but never mention any steps to add an MCP to their platform. To me, it looks like they are in process of developing it and creating landing pages for future functionality.
Saying that, I am not too technical either. I use v0 sometimes and it doesn't support MCP. When I use it, I create a solid template but hit the ceiling soon and switch to claude code. I suggest you try pushing your project to github and trying to edit it with claude code or windsurf or cursor. Not only do they support MCP, but in general, they are way more powerful. They will allow to bother less fixing broken layout in circles, and would allow you to build more, and still using plain English as a programming language.
This is such a cool unlock for anyone working with AI coding tools like Cursor or Claude Code. Being able to call up 40,000+ icons just by prompting—like “make these food icons colored” or “add tech icons”—is a dream for vibe coders and frontend devs.
Love how this bridges creative freedom with practical dev flow. And at $15 for full SVG access, it’s super fair for the value. Props to the Icons8 team for turning icon design into an AI-native workflow.
