I’ve always been guilty of treating my LinkedIn profile like a glorified, dusty resume instead of a proper landing page. IconAudit completely changes how you view your profile. The initial free audit is incredibly fast, and the breakdown across the six "SIGNAL" pillars makes the feedback highly actionable. It immediately pointed out some major blind spots in my "Story" (positioning) and "Leverage" (AI discoverability) sections that I would never have noticed on my own. It gives you an objective mirror of how prospects, investors, and AI tools actually perceive you.
It would be awesome to see industry-specific benchmarks in the future! For example, comparing my score against the average scores of "SaaS Founders" or "B2B Sales" professionals would add a great layer of context.
A Chrome extension down the line to check my score in real-time while I edit my profile would also be a killer addition.
Before finding this, my only "tool" was blindly pasting my profile text into ChatGPT and asking it to "make it sound better" - which usually just resulted in generic, buzzword-heavy copy. The only real alternative to a tool like IconAudit is hiring an expensive personal branding consultant. IconAudit bridges that gap perfectly by providing a structured, objective score based on actual trust metrics rather than just rewriting text.
I really liked that Icon Audit shows my LinkedIn profile the way others see it not the way I see it myself. I got concrete tips instead of generic advice. And the 90-day plan is a really useful thing.
It would be cool to see how my profile changes over time maybe some kind of progress chart. It would also help to have the option to audit multiple profiles at once if you work with a team. Everything else already works great. 👍
I tried a few other LinkedIn optimization tools or DI agents, but they only suggested adding keywords or changing the photo. Icon Audit goes deeper and looks at everything as a whole. That's why I chose it.
Very straightforward and easy to understand instructions as to what to do to improve your profile and achieve desired visibility.
Hey Product Hunt 👋
I built IconAudit because most founders, consultants, and operators treat LinkedIn like a bio page — when it's really a trust surface. Prospects, investors, candidates, and increasingly AI tools see your profile before they ever see you.
IconAudit starts free: paste a public LinkedIn URL, add an email, and you get a SIGNAL score and letter grade across six pillars:
• Story — is your positioning obvious in five seconds?
• Identity — is the profile clear, current, and credible?
• Gravity — does it create demand, or just list history?
• Network — does it support outreach and discovery?
• Appearance — does the visual layer earn trust?
• Leverage — can AI tools understand and surface you correctly?
The paid report goes deeper: section rewrites with before/after copy, red flags, AI discoverability checks, and a 90-day execution plan.
Fun fact: this whole product was shipped by a tiny team leaning hard on AI agents — Codex and Cursor did most of the heavy lifting, on Vercel + Supabase + n8n.
I'd especially love feedback on two things:
1. Does the free teaser score make the problem clear fast enough?
2. What would make the full report more useful for people who sell through trust?
I'll be in the comments all day. Drop your score if you're brave. 🔍
The six-pillar breakdown is a nice change from the usual "here's 5 generic tips" LinkedIn tools. I especially like that "Leverage" pillar. Hadn't really thought about profiles needing to be legible to AI tools, too, but that's clearly where things are heading.
One question: Does the scoring adjust much by industry? I'd imagine what "good" looks like for a sales-heavy founder is pretty different from what it is for a technical consultant.
Also cool that you built this with Codex/Cursor - feels fitting given the product. Congrats on the launch!
@silvestras_j thanks Silvestras. we've developed a whole new framework to approach the LinkedIn profiles using our own methodology. adding some science to spice up your LI profile is fun.
we dont have industry based scoring just yet, but I'm adding this to our roadmap right now.
once again, very appreciated!
@talha132854 hey! thanks for the comment. we mostly focus on the contents and less on metrics at this point! but we can consider this in the future too :)
Love the tech stack breakdown congrats for shipping @jaunius qq. How are you handling the LinkedIn scraping/data extraction via n8n without hitting auth walls? that’s usually the trickiest part for tools like this.
@vikramp7470 thanks Vikram! n8n is just the orchestration layer. @Coresignal works really well for the part you mention ;)
@pauliustar Thanks for trying us out Paulius! This is our mission. We want people to have better LinkedIn profiles and also a strategy to work on in the next 90 days!
Found this today and had to give it a spin. I scored a 58/100. 😬 Looks like I have some major visibility gaps to fix!
Really cool concept.
I love that it checks for AI discoverability - that’s something most people completely ignore.
Curious to see how the 90-day execution plan works in the full version.
Awesome job shipping this!
@simon_val Thanks for trying us out! Feel free to drop a DM after the updates - I'll give you free re-runs to check if you managed to improve the score ;)
@jaunius would be fantasitc! looking forward to it!
Great stuff, the DFY sounds appealing.
Tried on mine, the story part was labelled needs work (in red) and in the audit content I get a 15/20. which ok needs work, but less alarmist than what the first draft showed.
Neat job guys as always, subscribed to the three months plan, had an agency before so I'll compare both.
@adrien_fernandez I'm working on it to show you the green flags too! updates incoming this week ;) thank you for your support Adrien!

Thanks for the feedback! Seems like I'll need to add this to my roadmap.
Appreciate your review, Simonas :)
