Every Tesla app lives on your phone. iCar lives on the car's own screen: open geticar.com/app in the Tesla browser, scan a QR code, and the blank page becomes a dashboard. Hi Product Hunt! 👋 iCar was born on a road trip. At every Supercharger stop, I found myself checking my car's stats on my phone — while sitting in front of a beautiful 15-inch screen showing a blank browser page. That felt backwards. There are great Tesla apps for your phone. I wanted one that lives where you actually drive. So I built it: designed on the road, coded during charging stops (each one a 25-minute sprint), shipped from a hotel room. Thirty days from idea to the App Store. The hard part was doing it honestly: no invented numbers. Charge costs come from real Tesla invoices, the charge-limit-by-location uses a boolean the car emits — no address ever leaves your vehicle — and trip recording is opt-in. The core is free. Trips, battery health, speed cameras, live TV and location-based charging are premium, with 14 days free. There are great Tesla apps for your phone. I wanted one that lives where you actually drive. So I built it: designed on the road, coded during charging stops (each one a 25-minute sprint), shipped from a hotel room. Thirty days from idea to the App Store.
