Hi everyone 👋🏾 I’m Blessed, Product Designer & Design System Designer, and I’m excited to finally share IBS System with you. When I first started working with design systems, I honestly didn’t understand how they worked. I used components without knowing why, and I struggled to make sense of the structure behind them. Over time, I realized that many designers feel the same way; we use design systems, but we don’t truly understand them. That gap is why I created IBS System. I released the first version earlier this year, gathered a lot of feedback 😅, unlearned certain assumptions, studied proper foundations, reviewed with experts, and rebuilt everything with clarity and structure. Each week, I documented the process publicly and used the community as my accountability partner. Today, IBS System is a learning-driven design system designed to help you: 1. Understand why things work 2. Design faster with clarity 3. Build consistently across teams 4. Learn design system principles as you use each component This has been months of work, improvement, testing, reviewing, breaking, fixing, and now I’m happy to open it to everyone.
