As a browser plugin it's not bad

As a development, it's interesting. But now gamers, like basically all people, aren't interested in just news. Now everyone needs content, an opinion on the news. The most important news will get to everyone anyway. So if I were you, I would make a platform where there isn't only an aggregator of news but also an interaction with the audience. The way I see it, the user reads the news and "talks" to it. It should be like communicating with a friend who runs his blog and shares different plushies with you, as implemented in Gaming Beasts.
