As someone not too well versed in the freelance invoicing world, does this somehow account for cases where clients just ghost you and don't want to pay when they're supposed to? Seems like a huge problem to tackle and I can't tell if this does that.

@bradydowling Great question! This product is meant to solve the issue of gaps in cash flow and (sometimes) late paying clients, not non-paying clients. Gaps in cash flow and late paying clients can be the kiss of death for many small businesses that often don't have access to the traditional financial tools that larger businesses use; Flow changes this and levels the playing field.

Congrats on the launch! Do you currently have any options for integrating Hopscotch Flow with other tools? For example, do you have a Zapier integration? Or, can Hopscotch be embedded (iFrame, etc.) in other tools/websites easily?

@sam_chlebowski Great question! We currently support a direct integration with QuickBooks Online and we are working on adding more, quickly. Zapier is likely next up and an embedded product may come down the line. Mind shooting me a note at reed@gohopscotch.com? I'd love to learn more about your use case. very interesting product ... it caught my attention as I'm just going through a small overdue invoice, and haven't read the entire process, but my key feature would definitely be the notification flow

@daniel_pirciu Appreciate the note! Hopscotch Flow is best for avoiding gaps in cash flow and accelerating funds tied up in invoices that haven't come due. Unfortunately, we aren't able to advance funds from currently overdue invoices given the increased risk of non-payment. When you Flow an invoice on Hopscotch, your client is not notified that you advanced funds. When they go to pay the invoice 30-60-90 days later, it will appear as if they are paying you as they normally do. As a freelance software engineer, I can attest that cashflow can be a difficult part of my business. I've seen it all over the place from clients that are stretching NET 45 to customers that pay by credit card within 10 minutes of me sending an invoice. As a solo dev, I'm normally working with 1 (or 2 at the most) clients at a time so getting paid on time is key. Looks like a great solution for helping people like me (unfortunately my current clients already have preferred channels for payment). Good luck with the launch!

@carterparks Hey Carter thanks for sharing your personal experience with payment delays, it's definitely a problem that many freelancers (including myself!) have experienced firsthand at some point in their careers. And I hear you on the preferred channels of payment for certain clients, that's tough. Just remember that if wanted to try Hopscotch in the future, it's super easy to invoice through our platform and your clients don't even need an account to pay you.
