Private and secure chat rooms for high trust groups

Hisohiso: minimal, private, encrypted chat. No accounts. No tracking. No cloud history. Just a room for high trust groups. Anybody can disband the room for everyone else. Everything is private.

Hello Product Hunt! Welcome to my first launch :) Hiso Hiso is a simple spin on chatting online: it's fundamentally private. I built this because I got tired of every chat app turning into an identity platform. Blue bubbles vs green bubbles. Verified badges. Read receipts. Phone numbers. Cloud archives.
Between Meta removing encryption on Instagram messaging and Signal being the golden rule on security, the privacy aspect is still underserved.
HisoHiso ensures privacy and security on the three well known levels: something you own (the link), something you know (the password), something you are (the knock message). The password and the knock message are optional but very handy for high trust groups. The password locally encrypts texts. The knock message can be used to simply filter who gets in via social meta information. And nobody asks who you are upfront. No phone, no username saved. On every room, you're new.
The HisoHiso twist is that anybody in a room can disband the room, which in turn removes it, and all messages, from the devices of all participants. High trust is non negotiable.
To make things easier for participants, in a fully private environment, there is a command `/iam handle ` to set a handle, so your messages are easy to follow. Sharing the link can be done via QR code as well.
This is not a replacement for massive chat software where you share memes or ask “how are you”. It's an intentional effort to ensure privacy amongst people who need it, and who trust each other to preserve it.
It's open source and self-hostable. Just try it at https://hisohiso.org
I'd love to hear what you think — especially what's missing.
