Otis ate a toxic plant on a Saturday morning. By Sunday I was building an app.

I'm Erin. I've spent 8 years shipping software at Meta. In that moment of panic — hunting for his vet's number, his insurance details, what he'd eaten — I realised there was no single calm place to turn when something goes wrong with your pet.

So I built one.

HeyOtis is an AI pet health companion that actually knows your pet — their breed, their history, their vet, their medications. Ask Hey Otis anything and get advice that's about your pet, not generic Google results.

You can share care with a sitter or family member with one link — they get everything they need, and their updates come straight to you in the app. With HeyOtis Plus, send Hey Otis a photo of your pet, a plant or something they've eaten and ask about it.

HeyOtis is free on iPhone with 10 chats a month, and HeyOtis Plus adds unlimited chats and photo analysis.

Otis has fully recovered. He and Oscar (adopted shortly after) continue to stress-test both me and the app on a daily basis.
