Really easy to get started with — I was generating avatar videos within minutes, without reading any docs. The UI stays out of your way, which is rare for this kind of tool. I'm still exploring use cases and haven't pushed it to its limits yet, but so far I genuinely like it and it does what it promises.

I’m genuinely impressed by HeyGen’s Avatar IV. What stands out immediately is the fusion of simplicity and sophistication: from a single photo and a short script, Avatar IV creates a fully-animated, expressive video avatar — complete with lip sync, facial micro-expressions, natural head movements and even hand gestures.

In my experience testing it, the results feel remarkably human. The model seems to interpret tone and rhythm, not just mimic them — there’s a tangible sense of timing and emotion.

The fact that you can animate not just humans but also stylised characters, pets or even anime-style avatars extends its creative potential enormously.

I paid 2 months subscriptions and honestly I highly DO NOT RECOMMEND this AI tool. They basically "scam" you secretly by deducting your credits for no reason. 1) The so called "very powerful" Avatar IV" doesn't even work property with the lip sync. 2) In a day, you will notice at least more than 10 times broken links. 3) For so called Unlimited Videos, same issue with lip sync. Sometimes they worked but no consistency. 4) Customer support did not really understand the products and they tend to give you generic answers which they did not really look into your issues personally. 5) Slow response and not friendly user. The most frustrating part is they deducted your credits and you know we paid for the credits so basically they are cheating my money and no explanation is given for this. Really disappointed with this and be careful all the people out there, do not let those tiktok videos out there fool you.

I had been very happy with HeyGen up until now and had signed up for an annual subscription for translation services. Then, out of the blue, without any communication or explanation, the number of translation minutes was reduced overnight. When I signed up for the annual subscription, I was promised “unlimited” minutes, which is why I chose this option. Suddenly, it's limited to 120 minutes per month. When you contact support, they just say they had to change it and are in no way willing to find a good solution. I'm really speechless—I've never experienced such poor treatment of customers anywhere else.

A very solid platform. The avatars look surprisingly realistic, especially with good lighting and a static frame. The interface is intuitive and easy to navigate — no learning curve needed. Downsides: you need to get the hang of writing scripts to make the videos feel truly natural. Also, when recording your avatar, it’s important to stay as still as possible — otherwise the AI might misinterpret hand movements or facial expressions. Overall, a powerful tool for anyone looking to create videos with AI avatars quickly and easily.

They provide access to a very Interesting technology, but keep rejecting my videos. Their support keeps ignoring you when you appeal or try contacting in their chat. - They charge a lot of money for a subscription, but once you would pay they forget about your existence. No support, forget it. - They would constantly reject your videos for false reasons even if the video consists of ONE word (legal one) - Only bots would respond if you contact within their support chat. There would be always the same standard reply, after which the dialogue would stop. - There would be no point in appealing a rejection to render a video. Your appeal would never considered on its merits and a problem would not be resolved

Heygen is a fantastic tool, in my case personally especially for its dubbing feature that helps us create accessible content in multiple languages while keeping everything natural. The ability to seamlessly translate and voiceover content is a game changer for reaching a global audience. Plus, the AI avatars are incredibly fun – they add a creative twist that even makes Zoom calls more engaging. Overall, Heygen is a versatile and innovative solution that I highly recommend for anyone looking to make their content more accessible and interactive.

I purchased a Team subscription for my company, expecting it to provide the ability to create interactive avatars as advertised. However, this feature did not work at all. Despite following all provided guidelines and contacting support twice, I received no clear explanation or resolution. After over a week, I still could not create avatars. To make matters worse, my colleague had no option available to create interactive avatars in the interface either. The lack of functionality, poor communication, and unhelpful support have been extremely frustrating. I ultimately had to request a refund and cancellation for the subscriptions. Highly disappointed with this experience and cannot recommend this service.

I recently noticed that after two days of using the tool, it now indicates that my (1 minute 10 seconds) video will take over 4 hours to process. This was not mentioned when I initially selected the CREATOR plan. Now, it’s suggesting I upgrade to a more expensive plan for faster processing, but it doesn’t clarify how much faster it will be, leaving room for potential misinformation, just like with the current standard plan I’m paying for. Frankly, this approach of misleading users to drive revenue is counterproductive. Instead of gaining trust, it’s pushing people away. As a result, I’ve decided to cancel my subscription after one month of using this system.

A great product, their service has greatly saved our company's costs. We are also satisfied with the quality of the generated video, especially in terms of editing, which is almost the same as what we did manually before, and even some features have brought new highlights to our video.
