Co-founder of Heptabase here. We had originally planned to launch our 1.0 in September with a free trial, but it seems like Matt has already done it for us. Our goal in creating Heptabase was to build the best tool for learning and research. Design is crucial to us - we want you to get into the flow of learning and expand your thinking as soon as you enter the app. Over the past two years, we have dedicated thousands of hours to refining every detail and user experience to make the product seamless and intuitive. Heptabase combines some of the most powerful ideas in knowledge management in one place. All features are carefully and cohesively designed around a better method for learning and conducting research that works extremely well for us, and we believe it can work for almost anyone: - Visualization: The combination of notes, nested whiteboards, mindmaps, and sections gives you the power to develop a deep understanding of the topics that matter to you. - Organization: The combination of tags, properties, and relational databases allows you to flexibly organize notes of the same type (research notes, project notes, meeting notes, contact notes, etc.) using different views, such as tables and kanbans. - Annotation: With PDF highlights and annotations, Readwise integration, and journals, you can also make sense of your reading and turn fleeting thoughts into usable notes. - Blocks & Links: The elegant drag & drop block-based editor supports all types of blocks such as to-dos, math, code, media, files, and bi-directional links. There is also a cross-reference right sidebar to help you write with ease. The best thing is that all data is stored completely offline, syncs across an unlimited number of devices in real-time, and we have a web app for full access once you activate sync. Long time Roam Research user (and investor), tried Tana, Obsidian, Logseq etc etc. but went back to Roam. Switched to Hepta 4 months ago and it is a revelation - great UI/UX, functionality - and crazy fast product iteration in addition to lightning-fast response times to any queries. Deleted my Roam account. Very active Discord community where founders interact with users and take on board product development suggestions. Hepta is amazing - I suggest you try it out!

Heptabase is not just another note-taking or mind-mapping tool, it’s more like a knowledge system builder for me.
