Hi Product Hunt, I’m the maker of Headcanon Generator. I’m a heavy fandom person myself. I write fanfic, collect random character ideas, and spend a lot of time talking with AI about headcanons, scene fragments, relationship dynamics, and all the strange little thoughts that show up when you’re building a story. But I also noticed something: for many of my friends, doing this well is still surprisingly hard. There are already a lot of similar tools out there, but most of them have the same problems: 1. The input is too rigid. They treat AI like a one-shot idea generator, not like a creative friend you can actually think with. 2. The interaction experience is weak, so the whole process feels mechanical instead of inspiring. So I built Headcanon Generator for a different purpose. My goal is to help people take all the weird, interesting, half-formed ideas in their heads and turn them into small creative seeds, something concrete enough to keep developing. From there, those seeds can grow into stories, scenes, relationships, and finished works that actually feel satisfying.
