I looked for a simple app to fix this. Everything was too complex or too narrow. So I built Hasset - a simple household passport for every appliance, warranty, and maintenance schedule you own. I'm Andrius - solo founder, first-time app builder, and busy homeowner.
A while back I missed a warranty on an appliance that broke down. The repair cost more than it should have because I had no record of when it was bought, whether it was still covered, or when it was last serviced. Everything was scattered - receipts in drawers, reminders in my head, service dates I couldn't remember.
I looked for an app to fix this. Everything I found was either too complex, too focused on one thing, or built for facilities managers - not regular busy homeowners.
So I spent several months building Hasset.
