@arturkiulian Hello Artur, you can use both! Because a lot of apps in our store will never be in AppStore. AppStore has a lot of restrictions for open source software, for system software like CleanMyMac or open source software like Paintbrush for example. HackStore - is a free home for almost any kind of applications. We are trying to build a place where every developer and user can find a way to each other. Without any restrictions or charges.
@tt22_dev it all makes sense but do you have any kind of moderation over there? cause I mean app store has credibility with all those restrictions that save our macs from being corrupt haha
@arturkiulian of course, we have special editor team who checking each app and updates before they appearing online in our store. For us it is usually takes 3-5 days to upload newly submitted app in our store.
@allanmacgregor Hello Allan, we already noticed that that was a bug because we just setup transactional emails with sensible. My team will fix this bug asap. Otherwise, we do not store any your personal data on our servers. Your other data stay secured on the FastSpring side. especially when you buying some apps. @allanmacgregor : I agree, major security issue with the password sent in the confirmation email after account validation + there is no way to delete the account one created. Not reassuring enough for me. Sorry.
@gdhios Hello. Thanks for your reply. As I said Password issue it's a temporary bug. We will fix it on Monday. About account delete just asks our support and they will delete the account for you. With AppStore, you can't delete your account without apple support too. Anyways, we do not store any your private information, only your email so you shouldn't be afraid about it.

What's the status on HackStore? The screenshots on the site show apps from years ago (some are not even available anymore), the promo ends 'today': 24th of november 2013, and I certainly hope that 'free for anyone' means a 'free' account, not 'free' products. And what to make of MacPaw's Hider 2 that you buy for $9.99 where the regular price is $20?
@t55 Hello! Thanks for your questions. Our status is: working good ;) Yeah, we have a bunch of old apps in HackStore. But it is because this is the last versions which developers upload to our store. Our las promo with MacPaw was at 2013 it was a license giveaway. And word free - mean that we do not have any fees and charges for using our store. and btw we have a lot of free apps. About Hider, Macpaw told us to set this price for their app in our store, according to our editors team. Do you have any questions?

@tt22_dev Got one question for you: are there any new developments on HackStore? Does have HackStore have an upgrade policy for apps from devs that sell their app on HS?
@t55 Yeah our editors receiving about 1-2 new apps daily. We have Application Uploading system, and before application comes to our store, our editors reviewing it. Or what do you mean by upgrade policy?

@tt22_dev I'm referring to upgrade pricing for registered users of new app-versions, like the upgrade price for a 1.0 to 2.0 app. Also: can devs supply trial versions in HackStore?
