GSEO Editor is built for today’s search reality, where AI engines like ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity decide what gets seen. It scores your content in real time for both Google ranking and AI citation as you write. One editor, one unified score: SEO, GEO, E-E-A-T and readability. With suggestion-first AI, full visibility into AI mentions, and no auto-rewrites, you improve rankings and get cited without losing your voice.

I've been doing SEO for clients for years, and in 2024 something broke: traffic from Google started leaking to ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google's AI Overviews. Suddenly "ranking #1" wasn't enough: if an AI engine didn't cite you, you were invisible. I went looking for one tool that could score content for both classic Google ranking and AI citability (Generative Engine Optimization), and it simply didn't exist. Surfer and Clearscope only do SEO, Frase only does briefs, and nobody was scoring E-E-A-T, AI-detection and AI citation-readiness inside the same editor. So I built the tool I wished I had.
The problem I kept seeing was that content teams are essentially writing twice: once for Google, and once (badly, by guessing) for AI engines. The result is articles that rank okay but never get quoted by ChatGPT or Perplexity, and brands that quietly disappear from AI answers without ever knowing why. GSEOeditor solves that by putting four live scores (SEO, GEO, E-E-A-T and Readability) inside one editor that updates as you type, backed by real-time data from DataForSEO and ValueSERP across 10 markets (no hallucinated metrics), and paired with an AI Visibility layer that shows your actual citation share-of-voice across ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and Google AI Overviews instead of just blue-link rankings.
The process evolved a lot along the way. I started out building a "better Surfer," but two things forced a rethink. The first was talking to writers: every single one told me to not let AI rewrite my text behind my back, so I killed auto-apply and built a Proposed Changes Tray where every AI suggestion is a diff you accept or reject per chunk, and the assistant literally cannot overwrite your prose. The second was watching server logs and seeing how ChatGPT and Perplexity crawlers actually behave: they reward short quotable definitions, question-based H2s, fresh dates, schema markup and original data far more than long opinion pieces, which completely reshaped the GEO scoring engine. The biggest mindset shift was realising I wasn't building an "SEO tool with AI features" anymore, I was building a content editor for the post-search internet, where Google is just one of five engines you need to win.
