Finding the players or an entire group to play TTRPGs with has always been a massive challenge. Assembling a group often takes far more effort than playing the game itself. Many players know the routine: bouncing between Discord servers, social media groups and scattered community forums and still coming out in the end without a group to play with. Groupfinder was created to change that. The platform has been created to create a common channel for all groups and players to find each other. Focused on finding other players, introducing yourself and your group, Groupfinder is a streamlined alternative to get one started in the hobby field. Started and built in Estonia, the project is rapidly spreading across the globe, connecting players. Getting started, as a player is a simple process - create your profile, introduce yourself and what kind of a group you are looking for, set which systems you are interested in and set your location - whether online of at a table. After that your profile will be visible to all users of the platform, that fit your set filters. For groups, the process is very much similar. Whether you need a full group or are just missing a few players (or even a Game master), you can create a compelling post for your group and with similar filters (and more) as the player profile, your post will be visible to everyone. All you have to do is wait for players to contact you on the platform and get the party started. The focus has been to remove obstacles in the process, to provide a lower barrier to entry for everyone. In addition to the groupfinding system, the platform is evergrowing, adding more systems to not only get the group together, but also to settle down on a date for the session. For that, groups can use Timefinder - a simple scheduling tool to help groups find a common date for the next session. The platform is expanding to reach players across the world, regardless of system, genre or experience level. . And most importantly - Groupfinder is and will always be free to use. The plan has always been to make sure getting started in the hobby would be as easy and painless as possible.
