Hi Product Hunt! 👋 I'm excited to share Grilledoku with you today. The idea came from a simple observation: most daily puzzle games are either word games or number games. As puzzle fans, we wondered—what if the challenge came from your knowledge instead? That led us to build Grilledoku: a platform of daily knowledge-based grid puzzles covering sports, geography, history, cities, culture, and many other topics. We wanted something that was fun, rewarding, and educational at the same time. Building the game engine was only part of the challenge. The hardest part was designing puzzles that are both fair and engaging while supporting many different themes. We continue to refine the experience with every new puzzle and feature. This is just the beginning. We have a big roadmap ahead, including new puzzle types, personalization, community-created themes, and tools that let publishers turn their content into interactive games. How does the scoring system work when you compare with friends, is it just based on time or do you factor in accuracy across the different theme categories?

Thanks! Right now, friend leaderboards are based on completion time, as long as the puzzle is solved correctly.

When publishers install our SDK, the scoring engine is already built in, so they don't need to implement any calculation logic themselves. It automatically tracks and calculates scores consistently across all supported puzzle themes.

We're also exploring a more advanced scoring system that factors in:

✅ Accuracy (mistakes made)
🎯 Theme difficulty (some categories are naturally harder than others)
⚡ Time to complete
🔥 Streaks and consistency over multiple days

The goal is to reward not just speed, but overall puzzle-solving skill. We'd love to hear what kind of scoring system you'd find the most fun and fair.
