A free Red vs Blue word-grid you play in the browser with friends. Share a short room code, pick seats, clue one word, guess together. Phones and laptops, no download, no account. Reveal your agents to win — tap the assassin and you lose. That’s the line hunters see after they click. It says what it is, how to start, that it’s free, and why the assassin matters.
Hey Product Hunt — I’m Sharyar.
GridSpy started the way a lot of party nights start: someone in Discord said “Codenames?” and half the table bounced on the login screen. I wanted a board we could open in the browser, paste a short code into chat, and actually play before the vibe died.
That’s the whole product. You pick a name, open a table, share a 5-letter code. Friends hop in from a phone or a laptop. Each crew needs a spymaster (they see the colors) and a guesser (they only see the words). Clue one word. Tap the grid. First team to find their agents wins. Tap the assassin and the round is over.
It’s free. No download, no account. You’ll want four people.

Start a table and drop the code in Discord
I’ll be in the comments all day — tell me your callsign, or tell me the assassin got you. If something feels off at the table, I want to hear that too.
