Greenbar Clearing is a locally run desktop bank-reconciliation tool built for audit-ready closes. It auto-matches thousands of bank and ledger lines, surfaces only the exceptions that require judgment, and records every period with a named sign-off and complete audit trail — giving bookkeepers, small firms, and owner-operators a more controlled, traceable alternative to spreadsheets and built-in matching in QuickBooks Online or Xero.

Greenbar Clearing was created because the reconciliation may get done, but proving exactly how it was done is often harder than it should be. Too many workflows still rely on spreadsheets, manual notes, and matching tools that tell you what was matched without leaving a clear, defensible record of why. When questions come up later, it can be difficult to reconstruct who reviewed an item, what judgment was made, or whether anything changed after sign-off. I wanted to build reconciliation software where auditability is part of the workflow, not something added afterward. Clearing automates the repetitive matching, explains the signals behind each match, isolates the exceptions that require judgment, and closes each period with a named sign-off and complete audit trail. The goal is not just a faster reconciliation, but also defensibility
