Hey everyone! Super excited (and nervous) to finally share this project. Why did I build this? I’ve always struggled with messy commit histories, either too vague (“Fix bug”) or too inconsistent to be useful. I wanted something that raises the baseline quality of commits without adding friction. What’s new and unique? Most “AI commit” tools just feed the diff to GPT and spit out text. This one goes deeper: 1. Cleans noisy diffs (ignores build artifacts, whitespace, generated files). 2. Translates regex-based commit rules into natural language the AI can follow. 3. Syncs across multiple providers (GitHub, Bitbucket) with proper rate limit handling. 4. Generates rule-compliant suggestions upfront, instead of validating after the fact. What I’m most proud of? Surprisingly, the hardest (and coolest) part wasn’t the AI, it was the prompt engineering system that converts structured commit rules into human-readable AI instructions. That’s what makes the commits not just “AI guesses” but actually tailored to your projects standards. This launch is just the beginning. The vision is bigger than AI commits: repo syncing, project analytics, and team workflows all in one place. But the AI commits are the “hook” because they solve a very visible pain.
