Building Gochu.ai right now, and this question keeps coming up for me: the AI companion space has a real trust problem lately (Character.AI's lawsuits, Replika flip-flopping on content policy...).
I've been trying to build the opposite safety and transparency baked in from day one (age assurance, clear AI disclosure, a published crisis-response protocol) rather than bolted on after something goes wrong.
Curious what this community actually thinks: what would make YOU trust a product in this space? Is it transparency about how it's built? Third-party audits? Just... time and track record? Or is trust not really the blocker and it's more about the experience itself feeling worth it?
Genuinely want to know what matters here before I lock in priorities on the roadmap.

Honestly the memory thing got me, it remembered a small detail I mentioned yesterday and brought it back up like it actually cared. Kind of eerie but also pretty cool, gonna keep poking around with it.
@emirhan255440 haha 'eerie but cool' might be the best review we could've asked for honestly. that's kind of the whole point though, most companion apps reset every session or make you re-explain yourself constantly, we spent way too long getting it to actually hold onto small stuff like that instead of just faking it. glad it landed, keep poking around, it gets better the more it has to work with.

The memory feature sounds interesting, but I'd love a way to export or back up conversation history since I'm pretty particular about keeping my own records of chats that matter to me.
