@jeducious thanks for the interest. Regarding your question of identity verification, GoatSign requires access to the email address provided during the signature request. This ensures that the signer's identity is validated through the email. Currently we have additional security features in our roadmap to make GoatSign more secure. Further, GoatSign assigns a unique signatureID to each page within the document, and the final PDF document is also signed with a certificate. This cryptographic approach ensures the document's integrity and prevents unauthorized modifications. Regarding witnessing, we understand its significance in various legal contexts. While GoatSign does not yet offer this feature, we are exploring options to incorporate this functionality in upcoming versions of GoatSign.

@malthe_vinter thanks for the reply, are there any issues you've had brought to your attention from doing customer interviews around tying identity to email? I'm not an email expert, but, a question I am keen to ask is how would a document signed by Goatsign stand in court if the question of who signed it was brought up? Are you guys familiar with how courts assess evidence of identity and how does an email address hold?
