As a founder, this is exactly the kind of product I’ve needed.

Document signing is one of those workflows that should be simple, fast, and trustworthy but too often it feels locked inside expensive, rigid tools. Documenso feels like a much-needed rethink: open source, clean to use, flexible enough to self-host or use hosted, and built with APIs, templates, direct links, and team workflows in mind.

What I really appreciate is that it is not just “another e-signature app.” It feels like signing infrastructure for modern teams and builders. The ability to integrate it into existing workflows, customize it, and keep more control over the signing process is a huge win for founders who care about speed, trust, and ownership.

Congrats to the Documenso team this is a product I wish existed earlier.

In September of 2022 last year, I tweeted about our painful experience as a customer of DocuSign and urged someone to build an open alternative. Today, we signed on as a paying customer of Documenso, Inc. and are thrilled to see the open source community stand up and take on this stagnant and parasitic incumbent. ✍️ ♥️ 🚀
