At Glibzter, we are solving the problem of "𝗟𝗮𝗰𝗸 𝗼𝗳 𝗳𝗹𝘂𝗲𝗻𝗰𝘆 𝗶𝗻 𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗹𝗶𝘀𝗵 𝗰𝗮𝘂𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝗯𝘆 𝗮 𝗹𝗶𝗺𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝘃𝗼𝗰𝗮𝗯𝘂𝗹𝗮𝗿𝘆" afflicting more than a billion people globally in countries with 'Low to Moderate' English speaking proficiency.
A limited vocabulary affects how we comprehend information through listening and reading, as well as how we express ourselves through speaking and writing. It is a problem I have personally experienced and trying to overcome.

@chen_artisk Great question. To borrow an English phrase, "As easy as apple pie" in terms of usage, but as it is a skill, it needs dedication and effort by the user with willingness to invest time in contextually practicing the words and phrases acquired.
Basis our user testing, we noticed users getting more overwhelmed by the quantum of words and phrases they have acquired while watching videos and reading articles for them to later practice. So what we have done at the browser level, is fine tune the selection of words and phrases and also in the Home page, provide Daily practice in 'snackable' quantities.
@mogabr Thank you Gabe. Running your own successful podcast, you realize the importance of the communication spectrum - be it 'what' to speak and also ;how' to speak it. With this vocabulary builder, Glibzter focuses on the 'What'. With your inputs, my team can develop the 'How to speak' component in the future.

@chen_artisk Thank you for your interest. The extension’s interface is designed to be as simple and intuitive as possible—just the bare essentials to help users get started quickly. As @varun_bhagath mentioned, a big part of the learning curve comes down to the user’s willingness to engage and practice regularly. We’ve tried to reduce that initial overwhelm by offering “snack-sized” daily exercises and fine-tuning how many words and phrases appear at once.
That said, we’re always looking for ways to improve. Your feedback would be incredibly valuable as we continue to refine Glibzter!
@varun_bhagath really interesting idea - Do any big players (ex duo lingo) have anything like this or I guess I am curious who your biggest competitors are!

@dzaitzow Thanks for finding this product idea interesting. Surprisingly, the big players in this space use curated content e.g. BBC Learning English has their own proprietary content from which words and idioms are picked. Likewise with FluentU.
Smaller players like us include Language Reactor, eJOY English, Lingopie etc.
@varun_bhagath@dzaitzow Unlike these big players who primarily curate their own materials, we’re focused on integrating organically sourced content that users actually encounter day-to-day—such as articles, videos, and social feeds. This approach aims to expose learners to authentic language as it’s naturally used, rather than just the “textbook” version. We believe this will resonate with learners looking for more real-world relevance.
Congrats @varun_bhagath - will definitely give it a try.

@sahithkrishna_an Thank you Sahith. Counting on early adopters like you to use the product and usher in a change in the way not just English, but languages are acquired and learnt. Please feel free to share your honest feedback.. we can improve only with that.
This is a really clever approach to language learning! I love the idea of extracting relevant vocabulary directly from the content I'm already consuming – news and videos. The real-time curation and AI-powered practice seem like a much more engaging and contextual way to learn than traditional methods. I'm definitely keen to try this out.

@peng_wood Am glad to know that you find the approach we have adopted to be relevant and are willing to try the product out. We will need to engineer the product to cater to other media and OTT video platforms in the future. Do try out the Speech input based AI-powered assessments which test you on your contextual understanding. Ask me.. that is my favorite aspect of this product offering. Please share a review after you use it for the next 5 days for free.
