Gleam is the best way to learn and practice social skills around dating, small talk, negotiation, storytelling and more. Improve your social fluency and confidence with just 5 mins of practice a day.

Gleam
We built Gleam because we believe that social skills are the key to a fulfilling life: confidence, career success, meaningful relationships – and yet, they’re not something that are typically taught in school. Instead, society throws us into the “deep end,” expecting us to figure everything out ourselves.
Growing up shy and introverted, it was a long and arduous journey for me to become who I am today. Improving my social life has been the best investment I made, but it was confusing, lonely, and filled with trial and error.
We believe social skills are no different from learning any other skill and should be just as accessible as learning piano or coding. That's why Gleam exists: to be the Duolingo for social skills—making it fun, approachable, and stigma-free to build confidence and social competence. We’ll never replace real-life connection or in-person experiences, but we can give you the tools to show up more confidently when it matters most.
As part of a launch special, Gleam will be free to use for the next 48 hours.
We’re excited for you to try out what we’ve built, and to hear your feedback!
@kelvinzhang this is a super cool app. I think it should be ranked higher.
minimalist phone: creating folders
Guys, we probably will need this. Today, I read the news about how Elon enabled those AI avatars who can contribute to NSFW content, and they can also harness social skills – the article is here.
You are there just in time.
CLUTCH launch for us socially-awkward humans! 🙌
The 'how to keep a conversation alive' drills speak to my soul – no more nervously mentioning the weather like a 19th-century farmer. 😅
That flirting module? 10/10. Finally practicing 'Hey, do you have a name or can I call you mine?' without actual emotional damage.
Quick Q: Will Android users get to join the social skills revolution soon? Either way, congrats on an amazing launch! 🚀
I’ve often felt that as people spend more time in the digital world, their social skills seem to be declining. With the way we consume information—mostly filtered through our own biases—it feels like people are becoming even more convinced that they’re always right. That’s probably why social skills are taking a hit. This kind of service is such a great idea. Plans for launching on android?
Since Gleam cannot fully replace real-life social interactions, how do you encourage or support users to apply what they learn in the app to real-world situations?

@vouchy we have features to help you track your progress across different competencies (ex. assertiveness, confidence, empathy, etc) over time - and we’re also working on a feature called Quests where you receive a personalized daily challenge!
This is such a fresh idea . Social fluency definitely needs its Duolingo. The 5-min-a-day format makes it feel super doable too
Do you plan to add real-time scenarios or live feedback options? Would be amazing to practice like you're in a convo, not just tapping answers.

@suvam_deo we do have a library of scenarios where you can practice with voice mode!
