Write your resume in YAML and push to GitHub. GitResume builds an ATS-friendly single-column PDF and a hosted web page from the same source, so they never drift apart. I'm a developer, and I version-control everything I care about. Except, for years, the one document my career actually depends on: my resume. Mine lived in a folder of files named resume-final-v3-REAL.pdf, edited in whatever builder I used last, every export slightly out of date.
So I built GitResume. Your resume is a YAML file in your own GitHub repo. Push a commit, and GitResume builds an ATS-friendly single-column PDF and a hosted web page from the same source, so they never drift apart. You get real diffs, history, and pull requests for it.
A few things I'm proud of:
Edit it anywhere: VS Code, Vim, whatever you already use. The JSON Schema is published, so you get autocomplete and validation as you type.
Let an agent do the typing: There's a built-in MCP server, so Claude or any MCP-capable agent can read, validate, rebuild, and publish for you. Every content change lands as a commit in your own repo, so you can read the diff before it goes anywhere. Nothing happens behind your back.
It stays yours: It's a YAML file in your repo. Leave anytime and take everything with you.
