I’m the maker of GitOrbit.
I built this because, frankly, VS Code's native Git features just weren't cutting it for me. I found myself in a constant loop: writing code in VS Code, then Alt-Tabbing to a heavy external client just to manage a complex rebase, visualize history, or handle a merge. It felt disconnected. I didn't just want a "plugin"—I wanted a tool that handled Git the way a dedicated manager should, but seamlessly inside my environment. So, I built GitOrbit to be the Git client I actually wanted to use.
