People are getting laid off all across the US. Many are turning to the gig-economy and taking control over their careers. At the same time, the gig-economy is at risk after the AB-5 “Gigworker Bill” that was passed enforcing platforms such as Uber, Lyft and Instacart (to name a few) to classify drivers as employees. The drivers don’t want this because they can’t drive for multiple companies and end up earning less. They also don’t get a 401K or any other added benefits you expect with employment. The platforms don't benefit from this and can’t afford the overhead to support it either. Turning to the Product Hunt community for feedback. Feel free to share with any gig workers you might know. Thank you! About time someone addresses this. I just avoided paying a law firm thousands of dollars with a two minute survey. Neat and succinct. How long does it take for y’all to get back with a verdict? What about llc formation cost?

Thank you @gamblers_united Glad this was helpful! You should receive your response soon if you haven't yet. Right now we're reviewing everything manually to ensure no issues (expect a day or two), but eventually the review process will be automated completely and almost instant. We'll then work with you directly on solutions. Formation of an LLC typically costs a couple thousand dollars if you use a lawyer or which most people do, but we're streamlining this process to bring it down to hundreds and amortize it across a monthly payment plan. We take the hit up front, but you don't. That means you'll be able to open up your LLC for less than $100 (not guaranteed yet, but working on it!) and we'll build your record and support you every month on compliance as laws change. Gig is our specialty so we're always on top of this space. Hope that helps!
